Punjab Institute of Technology Recruitment for Associates & Assistant Professor's Post

Punjab Institute of Technology issued a notification for the Recruitment of Associates & Assistant Professor's Post against Advt. No. 2014/53. Eligible Candidates who fulfill all eligibility criteria can apply on or before 10.02.2014.

The applications are invited from the candidates with outstanding track records for thefaculty positions at the levels of Associates Professors and Assistant Professors. TheInstitute intend to fill the following post
1) Associates Professors in Architecture & Civil Engineering
2) Assistant Professors in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry, Geology and Communication Skill

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Associate Professor :
Ph.D. having first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate
branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 6 years
teaching/industrial/research experience, of which at least three years should be
at the level of Assistant Professor (excluding the experience gained while
pursing Ph.D).
2. Assistant Professor:
Ph.D having first Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in an appropriate
branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 3 years
industrial/research/teaching experience (excluding the experience gained while
pursing Ph.D).

NOTE : (for Architecture Only): Ph.D in Architecture or published work in referred
journals or significant professional work which can be considered equivalent
to Ph.D having first Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in anappropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and aminimum of 3 years industrial/research/teaching experience (excluding theexperience gained while pursing Ph.D).

Pay Scale :
1. Associate Professor :  PB-4 Rs. 37400-67000/- Rs. 9,500/-

2. Assistant Professor : PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100/- Rs. 8,000/-

General Information:-
Degree as referred above should have been awarded by a recognized University
/ Institute.
Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for
interview. The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final. No
correspondence will be entertained from the candidate in connection with the
process of selection /interview.
 The Institute reserve the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for
interview after short listing with reference to the candidate's qualification,
suitability, experience, requirement, etc.
 The candidates should be preferably below 35 years of age for the post of
Assistant Professor.
 The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts
advertised.
 Persons employed in Government Organisations / Quasi Government
