Indian Air Force issued a notification for the Recruitment
of Sportsmen In Indian Air Force Direct Recruitment of Unmarried outstanding
sportsmen against sports quota in Indian Air Force in Group ‘Y’ Trades.
Eligible Candidates who fulfill all eligibility criteria can apply on or before
21 days from publication of Advertisement .

Outstanding Sportsmen (Only Male Indian Citizens) for Selection as airmen in
Group ‘Y’ trades in Following sports discipline : -
Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Cross Country, Cricket,
Cycling, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Handball, Kabaddi, Lawn Tennis,
Shooting, Squash Racket, Swimming, Volleyball, Water Polo, Wrestling and Weight
Lifting.
Full Vacancy Details are as given Below :
- Name of Post : Airmen (Sportsmen) in Group ‘Y’
- Educational Qualification : 10th / 12th with Sports Achievements given below : -
(i) Individual should have represented
the country in Junior International meets in any of the above mentioned sports
discipline. The current achievements would be given preference during Selection
trials.
(ii) Individual should have attained the standard of fifth
place in the Junior National Championship or Inter University Championship in
above mentioned sports discipline. The Current achievements would be given preference
during selection trials.
(iii) In Team events, the individual should have represented
state in Junior National Championship and National School Tournaments conducted
by School Games Federation of India in above mentioned sports discipline. The
Current achievements would be given preference during selection trials.
- Age Limit : Candidates should born between 01.08.1993 to 31.05.1997 (both days inclusive). Age relaxation (not exceeding 25 years of age)
- Pay & Allowances : During training, a stipend of Rs. 8550/- per month will be paid. And after training 16213/- per month that may rise upto 31233/- per month.
- Selection Procedure :Candidates selection will be made on the basis of their performance in Selection trials.
