UPSC Final Result |
UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) declared the final result
of IFS (Indian Forest Service) Examination, 2014. The exams were held in
Nov-Dec, 2014 followed by Personality Test held in February 2015.
Indian Forest Services is one of the Civil Services of India
and belongs to the All India Services Group. Indian Forest Service was created
in 1966 under the All India Services Act 1951. However, this was only a revival
of a well organized imperial forestry service which existed during the British
Raj from 1865 to 1935.

- The marks of candidates are likely to be uploaded on the official website of the UPSC within fifteen days form the date of declaration of result, for a period of forty five days.
- The IFS Officers are recruited and trained by the Central Government of India but their services are placed under state cadres and they serve both under the Central and State Governments. An IFS Officer is largely independent of the district administration and exercises administrative, judicial and financial powers in their own domain.
