Chandigarh Education Department issued a notification for the recruitment of 469 Posts of JBT (Junior Basic Teachers) and 103 Posts of Nursery Teachers on regular basis. Eligible candidates who fulfill all eligibility criteria can apply online from the official website of Chandigarh Education department from 03.11.2013 to 25.11.2014.

1. Name of the Post : JBT (Junior Basic Teachers)

Total No. of Posts : 489 (General : 235, OBC : 177, SC : 77)
Pay Scale : Rs. 10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 (with initial start of Rs. 16,290)
Educational Qualification :

Graduate or its equivalent from a recognised university with 40% marks in aggregate and at least 50% marks at 10+2 level.
Diploma in Basic Teacher Training of not less than 2 years duration recognised by NCTE, with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

JBT Certifiacet/Diploma of not less than 2 years duration with at least 50% marks recognised by Chandigarh Administration.

Age Limit : 21 to 30 Years as on 01.01.2014

2. Name of the Post : Nursery Teacher

Total No. of Posts : 103 (Gen : 55, OBC : 32, SC : 16)
Pay Scale : Rs. 10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 (with initial start of Rs. 16,290)
Educational Qualification :

A (i) 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate

ii) Diploma or certificate in NTT or its equivalent form an Institute recognised by NCTE of not less than 2 years duration with at least 50% marks.

OR

B (i) 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate

ii) NTT Certificate/Diploma of not less than two years duration with at least 50% marks recognised by Chandigarh Administration.

Age Limit : 18 to 27 Years as on 01.01.2014

Mode of Selection : Two objective types tests of 100 marks each will be conducted. Candidates will be selected on the basis of total marks obtained in two tests. Qualifying marks for each test will be 40$ for SC category candidates and 45% for all other candidates. No Interview will be conducated.
