UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) issued a notification
to conduct a Computer Based Recruitment Test for 12 Posts of Assistant Engineer
Grade-1 in SGI (Geological Survey of India). The commission have decided to
conduct the computer based recruitment test on 29.06.2014 (Sunday) from 02.00
PM to 04.00 PM at various examination centres. UPSC will call only those
candidates for interview who qualify the recruitment test and satisfy/fulfill
all eligibility conditions.

- Delhi (includes NCR also) (Code - 08)
- Dispur (Guwahati) (Code - 09)
- Chennai (Code - 12)
- Nagpur (Code - 13)
- Lucknow (Code - 13)
- Jammu (Code - 34)
Scheme of the Test :
-
- The test will be of two hours duration and will carry a minimum of 100 marks.
- The test will be objective type questions with multiple choice answers.
- The medium of the test will be English only.
- There will be penalty for wrong answers. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question.

1. Drilling (including drilling technology, drilling
operations management and well engineering)
2. Maintenance of Equipment (including drill rigs, pumps,
engines, vehicles, gensets.
3. Mining engineering (including mining machinery and
safety).
4.Industrial engineering and management.
5. Producation methods and machines
6. Mechanics
