UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) issued a notification for the Recruitment of Various
Posts against Advt. No. 2/2014 Various Categories. Eligible Candidates who fulfill all eligibility criteria can apply online from the official website of the Commission.

1.  Name of Post : Deputy Director (Cooperation/Credit) in Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture.
  • Total No. of Posts : 01
  • Educational Qualification : Master's Degree of arecognized University or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Five years' experience in the field of Co-operation/Credit in a Government or Co-operative/ Credit Organisation. DESIRABLE: Diploma in Cooperation from a recognised Institution or equivalent

2. Name of Post : Assistant Soil Conservation Officer (NRM/RFS) in Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture.
  • Total No. of Post : 01
  • Educational Qualification : Master's degree in Agronomy or Agriculture with Agronomy as a subject or Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science or Agricultural Extension or Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Botany/Botany or Forestry or Degree in Agricultural Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent. 
  • EXPERIENCE: Possessing three years' experience of Soil and Water Conservation/Watershed Management including Reclamation and Development of Degraded lands.
3. Name of Post :  Fodder Agronomist in Regional Station for Forage Production and Demonstration, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture

  • Educational Qualification : Post Graduate degree in Agriculture or Agronomy from a recog-nized University or B.Sc in Botany or Zoology or Chemistry and M.Sc. in Dairying with Forage Production as a subject from a recognized University.
  • EXPERIENCE: Three years' experience in Planning and organization of Fodder Farming or Research or extension work in Fodder Production.
  • DESIRABLE: Doctorate degree in Agronomy with specialization in Forage production.

4. Name of Post : Assistant Professor of Sugar Technology in National Sugar Institute, Kanpur, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
  • Total No. of Post : 01
  • Educational Qualification : Degree in Science/Engineering with (i) Associateship in Sugar Technology awarded by National Sugar Insti tute, Kanpur OR (ii) Post Graduate Diploma in Sugar Technology from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent;
  • EXPERIENCE: Five years' experience of Teaching /Research /Advisory experience in the field of Sugar Technology or five years practical experienceof working in a sugar factory in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
  • DESIRABLE: (i) Ph. D. (Chemistry) OR Fellowship in Sugar Technology awarded by the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur. (ii) Experience in drafting and editing of Scientific and Technological Reports and Reviews.

5. Name of Post : Specialist Medical Officer, Gr.II (Junior Scale), (General Medicine) in Ordnance Factory Board, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence.
  • Total No. of Post : 02
  • Educational Qualification : i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (Other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational Qualifications includ-ed in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub sec-tion (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post Graduate Degree qualification in the concerned speciality viz. MD(General), MD(General Medicine), MD(Medicine & Therapeutics), MRCP, Speciality Board of Internal Medicine (U.S.A.).* *The candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12(2)/2010-Med.Misc.dated 11/06/2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.
  • EXPERIENCE: Three years' work in a responsible position concerned with the specialty.
Note I: M.R.C.P./F.R.C.P.,F.R.C.S refers to Diploma or Membership and Fellowship awarded

Note II: Holders of Speciality Board of USA Qualifications should complete the entire requirements of the Board concerned.
Note III: In so far as Post-graduate Medical Qualification awarded by Indian Universities are concerned, they should also find a place in the Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 as amended from time to time.
Note IV: Member Academy of Medical Science MAMS.
Note V: This qualification shall be a recognized medical qualification as aforesaid only when granted on or after the 1st April, 1976 on the basis of the results of examination conducted (whether before or after the said date) by the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi on behalf of the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and not when conferred as an Honorary Degree. M.N.A.M.S. qualification in the concerned discipline.
Note VI: In terms of Govt. of India. M/o Health & Family Welfare (Department of Health) Notification No. V. 110015/12/78-ME (Policy), dated 29-08-1978 the qualifications granted in United Kingdom shall b

6. Name of Post : Specialist Medical Officer, Gr.II (Junior Scale), (General Surgery) in Ordnance Factory Board, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence.

  • Educational Qualification : i) A recognized medical qualifi-cation included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (Other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. 9. Name of Post :  Medical Officers/Research Officers (Homoeopathy) in Department of Ayush, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

  • Educational Qualification : (i) Degree in Homoeopathy of recognised University/StatutoryState Board/Council or equivalent recognised under the Homoeopathic Central Council Act, 1973 (59 of 1973). (ii) Enrolment on the Central Register of Homoeopathy or State Register of Homoeopathy.
NOTE: For those incumbents holding the post of Research Assistant/Technical Assistant/Senior Technical Assistant/Assistant Research Officer on regular basis, the age limit will be "Not exceeding 50 years". 10. Name of Post :  Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Office of Chief Engineer, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration.
  • Total No. of Post : 15
  • Educational Qualification : Should possess a Degree in Engineering in Civil from a recognized University or Institution.
AGE LIMIT AS ON CLOSING DATE:
i) Not exceeding  50 years for the post at Item No.4.
ii) Not exceeding 48 years for the post at Item Nos.6 and 7.
iii) Not exceeding 45 years for the post at Item Nos.5 and 8.
iv) Not exceeding 40 years for the posts at Item No.1.
v) Not exceeding 38 years for the posts at Item No.2.
vi) Not exceeding 35 years for the posts at Item Nos. 3 and 9.
vii) Not exceeding 30 years for the post at Item No.10

APPLICATION FEE:
(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
(b) No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full pre-scribed fee.
(c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarilyrejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
(d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

HOW TO APPLY:  
  •  Candidates must apply online through the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
  • If the applicant is claiming any experience, then he/she has to personally upload his/her experience certificate in a single pdf file in such a way that the size file does not exceed 2 MB and is legible when a printout taken. For that the applicant may scan the experience certificate in 200 dpi grey scale.
  • Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately foreach post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.
  •  After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take out a printout of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application.
  •  Candidates are not required to submit to the Commission either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications or any other document. They will be required to bring along with them the printouts of their online applications and the documents mentioned in para 7 below if called for interview.
  •  The applicants are advised to submit only single Online Recruitment Application for each post; however, if somehow, if he/she submits multiple Online Recruitment Applications for one post, then he/she must ensure that Online Recruitment Application with the higher "Application Number" is complete in all respects including fee. The applicants, who submit multiple Online Recruitment Applications, should note that only the Online Recruitment Application with higher "Application Number" shall be entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one "Application Number" shall not be adjusted against any other "Application Number".
  •  The candidates are advised to submit the Online Recruitment Application well in advance without waiting for the closing date.
Selection Process :  Candidates shortlisted for interview on the basis of the information provided in the online applications submitted by them will be required to send self attested copies of documents/relevant certificates in support of the claims made in the application as and when demanded by the Commission.
