UPSC Final Result of  CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces )  Assistant Commandants Examination, 2012 Based on the result of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Written Examination  2012  held by the UPSC  (Union Public Service Commission) on 11.11.2012 and the Personality Test held in July 2013 UPSC Released  the  list  in order of merit of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to : -

-- Border Security Force;
-- Central Reserve Police Force;
-- Indo-Tibetan Border Police;
-- Sashastra Seema Bal.
-- Central Industrial Security Force

2. A total number of 345 candidates have been recommended for appointments which include 160 General, 101 OBC, 56 SC and  28 ST candidates.
3. The number of vacancies reported for Border Security Force is 94 (49 General,
25 OBC, 14 SC and 06 SC) for the Central Reserve Police Force is 168 (85 General, 45 OBC, 25
SC and 13 ST) for the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force is 28 (15 General, 07 OBC, 04 SC and 02
ST) SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) is 14 (09 General, 03, 01 SC and 01 SC) and for Central Industrial
Security Force is 80 (41 General, 21 OBC, 12 SC and 06 SC). Appointment to various Services shall be made by the Government in accordance to number of vacancies available and due consideration
to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination.
